The fate of Bruno a bloody stain on intentional ignorance that can never be washed away. He fled the Dominican monastery without taking the precaution of putting himself out of the order. He enraged schoolmen, and professors of Paris, Oxford, Prague, and took no notice, or care of Monarchical society and took little care of his welfare in that treacherous age.
